My name is Dr. Jesse Glaze, and I help athletes run, jump, and squat without pain or dysfunction, regardless of how long they’ve had trouble. This blog’s purpose is to share research, training techniques, and other useful information for my patient population.
I came to physical therapy after a career in mental health (I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology) and several years working as a yoga instructor. Most of my skill set prior to physical therapy school was in nervous system regulation, trauma recovery tools, and literature review. All of those things inform my practice today and will inform this blog.
Why does that matter to you?
- I will share topics I have thoroughly investigated and will never rely on a single source of information
- Every post will provide you with useful information and tools that you can integrate into your life—not just “gee whiz” information
My hope for this blog is to reach out to and provide helpful information to my patients. I treat a lot of conditions, but my absolute favorite patients are
- Women with hip, low back, or pelvic pain
- Adults with chronic headaches
- Jumping or running athletes with knee pain
- Throwing or overhead lifting athletes with shoulder pain during their sport
These are my favorite patients largely because I feel very confident treating them, and they can get so much better than they realize. I cannot tell you how many times a patient has told me they never expected to feel as good as they do after treatment.
So if you’re struggling with pain, stiffness, or muscle imbalance, this blog is for you! Additionally, if you have constipation, pain with sex, or trouble holding your urine (yes, even if you’ve given birth and were told this is “normal”), this blog is for you!
